SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Linda Van Vlymen of Natchez recently received her bacheor of arts degree in interdisciplinary studies from Western Governors University. The online, non-profit university awarded nearly 900 degrees at its semi-annual commencement ceremony in Salt Lake City, Utah, on July 11.

While more than 90 graduates attended the event in person, more than 425 participated live via the Internet.

Dr. Samuel H. Smith, president emeritus of Washington State University, delivered the commencement address.
