TWENTY YEARS AGO — Diane Yarbro, who coached South Natchez to the playoffs in her first season, and Sue Johnson, who coached at North Natchez, are named co-head coaches of Natchez High’s softball team.

TEN YEARS AGO — Larry Wesley, who worked with the Natchez Recreation Department, and Cleveland Watts, who coached in the Ferriday school system for 33 years, join Donnie Newsome’s staff at Natchez Middle School.

FIVE YEARS AGO — Southern Mississippi will have its one-two punch back on special teams in kick returner John Eubanks, who ranked fourth nationally in 2003, and punt returner Marvin Young, who ranked 10th last season.
