On behalf of Mississippi’s Southern First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction’s Department of Evangelism, I invite you to take part in the 2009 Crusade Revival.
The host church for this crusade revival is Murray Temple Church of God in Christ, located 5 Perrault St., Natchez.
The crusade will start with intercessory prayer at 6 p.m. today and services will begin at 7 p.m. Services will continue Friday night starting with an evangelism workshop at 5:30 p.m. and evening services starting at 7 p.m. Speakers will be Bishop Hollis C. Musgrove, Superintendent Kippy Page and Evangelist Lucy McGee.
The spirit of this age is creating a dramatic shift in basic values of our culture. For generations our highest values as a nation were honesty, integrity, loyalty and fidelity to God.
Today, these values have been undermined very rapidly. We need to encourage our community, youth included, to seek Christ and change their way of living in times like these. Parents face more challenges in their home environment because of peer pressure on their children to conform to the trends of this world. With the rise in crime, drugs, alcohol, violence, domestic violence, murder and suicide, there is a dire need to point people toward Christ. We need to let them know there is a better way and that way is none other than Jesus. Jesus himself said, “I am the way, the truth and the life.”
This city-wide crusade is designed not only to point our young people to Christ but others who do not know the Lord. If you are seeking to have an experience with Christ, to know him in the pardon of your sins and allow him to become your savior, this crusade is for you. If you are at your wits’ end, desiring Christ in you and your family, this crusade is definitely for you.
Our Christian brothers and sisters who are already laboring with us in the Lord, we need your help during this crusade in pointing others to Christ.
On Thursday and Friday, we will organize and conduct a street ministry, passing out tracts and other information about the crusade.
If you like to be a part of this crusade and the street ministry, please contact me at 601-442-7173 or by e-mail at ecogie@yahoo.com.
