GLOSTER — Services for Joan Fields, 70, of Crosby, who died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Homochitto Association Building in Gloster.
Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Gloster under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the Homochitto Association Building.
Mrs. Fields was born Dec. 13, 1938, in Wilkinson County, the daughter of Preston Everett and Salina Veals.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Bettie Everett and Mary Agnes Veals; two brothers, Mark Everett and Preston Everett Jr.; and three brothers-in-law.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Ray Fields; one son, Dr. Allen Evans and wife, Cindy, of Clovis, Calif.; four daughters, Debra Everett and husband, Anthony, of Long Beach, Calif., the Rev. Pamela Edwards and husband, Charles, of Natchez, Sharon Evans of Crosby and Donna J. Fields of Byram; two sisters, Hattie Brumfield of Chicago and Gloria Everett of Sandusky, Ohio; stepmother, Mercy Everett of Sandusky; one brother-in-law, Robert Fields and wife, Joan, of Gulfport; one uncle, the Rev. John Veals of Crosby; a very special friend, Francis Gaines of Crosby; a special cousin, William “Billy B” Hall of Crosby; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
