Services for Sis. Gertrude “Nutter” Ware, 83, of Fayette, who died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, at the Jefferson County Hospital will be 11 a.m. Monday the Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Percy Turner officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home.
Visitation will be today from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home and Monday from 10 a.m. until services begin.
Ms. Ware was born Dec. 29, 1925 the daughter of Jessie and Bessie Green Carradine.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jessie Jr.; four sisters, Bessie Mae, Mildred, Jessie Mae and Josie Mae; daughter, Rosie Lee; and two grandchildren, Hannah and Azelia.
Survivors include four sons, Jessie and James Ware of Natchez, Bernard Ware and wife, Elaine, of Dallas, Terry Ware and wife, Lorraine, of Fayette; five daughters, Ruby Ware, Thelma Grayson, Laura Johnson and husband, S.D. Jr., Debbie Mims and husband, Jeffery, of Fayette, Deloris Green, of Jackson; brother James Carradine, of Cincinnati; two uncles, A.J. Johnson and Semo Green, of Natchez; aunt, Mamie L. Mazique, of Natchez; 23 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Charle A. Carradine, Charles Richard Carradine, Johnny Carradine, Jerry Williams, Joseph Williams and Wesley Ware.
