NATCHEZ — The deadline for Adams County sheriff’s candidates to turn in their first campaign finance reports is 5 p.m. today.

Circuit Clerk Eddie Walker said the seven candidates are required to turn in comprehensive reports detailing contributions or expenditures made to their campaigns that exceed $200.

Reports will detail names and information about candidates’ supporters as well as the extent of their support, as well as how money was spent.

This report due today will cover any monetary support or expenditures from Jan. 1 to Oct. 24. Candidates have until the circuit clerk’s office doors close to turn in their reports, or face a fine of $50 a day.
