BUDE — Services for Marie Griffin, 79, of Roxie, who died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Meadville, will be at 1 p.m. today at Bude Church of God.
Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery in Meadville under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville.
Mrs. Griffin was born June 24, 1930, in Glade, La., the daughter of Whitlock Mount and Leola Burley Mount. She was a retired justice court judge and was a member of Natchez Church of God of Prophecy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Claude Griffin Sr.; two sons, Whitlock Griffin and Claude Griffin Jr.; one brother; and one sister.
Survivors include four daughters, Diane Smith and husband, Jim, Jan Smith and husband, Tony, and Dink Smith and husband, Lewis, all of Meadville, and Toni Murray and husband, Stan, of Monterey, La.; three sisters, Carol Prudhomme, Shirley Smith and Margaret Carter, all of Jonesville, La.; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Smith, Travis Smith, Lance Smith, Amanche Smith, Paul Griffin Jr. and Gary Lehmann.
