MONROE, La. — Services for Donnie M. McDonald, 68, of Monroe, who died Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, in Bastrop, La., will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Bethel Baptist Church in Holly Ridge, La., with Dr. Ralph Cheek officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe.
Mr. McDonald was born Sept. 23, 1941, in Jonesboro, La. He was a graduate of Holly Ridge High School. He was also a graduate of University of Louisiana-Monroe where he received a bachelor of science degree and a master’s degree and a certification vocation for agriculture from LSU. Mr. McDonald was retired from the State of Louisiana as a health sanitarian.
Survivors include one son, Donovan McDonald and wife, Claudine; one granddaughter, Gentry McDonald; one brother, Dr. Charles R. McDonald and wife, Patsy; two nephews, R. Scott McDonald and wife, Leazel, and Tucker McDonald; and one niece, McKenzie McDonald.
Pallbearers will be members of the family.
