NATCHEZ — Services for Herbert G. Miller, 79, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Travis Floyd officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Miller was born Aug. 19, 1930, in Columbia, the son of Joseph K. Miller and Effie Harrell Miller. He was owner and operator of a service station in Brookshire, Texas, from 1977 to 1991. He was a faithful member of Vision of Hope Ministries Church of Vidalia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters; brothers; and two stepdaughters, Brenda Miller and Betty Ferrington.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue Miller; two sons, Kenneth Miller and wife, Sharonda, of DeQuincy, La., and Jerry Miller of Lumberton; three stepsons, Richard Carney and wife, Nancy, of Victoria, Texas, Barry Carney of Natchez and Tom Carney of Vidalia; two stepdaughters, Sandra Davis and husband, Edd, of Katy, Texas and Camille Kyzar and husband, Paul, of Natchez; six grandchildren; 22 step-grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Reece Miller and wife, Cindy, of Lumberton and Myrl Miller and wife, Shirley, of Rayford, N.C.
Pallbearers will be Ben Long, Scott Ham, Stacy Ferrington, Mark Carney, Chris Carney and Jones Scott.
Honorary pallbearers will be Zane Tyler, Paul Kyzar and Joey Neilson.
