NATCHEZ — Services for James “Bear” Ware, 49, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Jefferson Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Anthony Colenburg officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Ware was born Oct. 2, 1960, in Jefferson County, the son of Charlie Ware and Rosie Lee Fitzgerald Ware. He attended Liddell High School and was employed by John Fitzgerald Masonry Company.
He was preceded in death by his father; and one brother, Sherwood Ware.
Survivors include his mother of Church Hill; companion of 12 years, Marguerite Hunt Ware of Natchez; one daughter, Jamie Duckworth; one son, Roderick Ware, both of Gulfport; eight grandchildren, Kristopher Cox, India Cox, Amaiya Cox and Ja’Miha Ware, all of Gulfport, Michael Hunt Jr., Mekayla Hunt, Lorana Hunt and Latrice Hunt, all of Natchez; three sisters, Gloria Bindon, Janet Jones and husband, Clarence, and Georgia Fulton and husband, Denal, all of Fayette; four brothers, Willie Ware and wife, Gwendolyn, Paul Ware, Marvin Ware and wife, Deloris, and Willie Donald and wife, Amber, all of Natchez; one stepson, Michael Hunt Sr.; one uncle, Leonard Fitzgerald and wife, Jessie Lee, of Gulfport; and a number of the relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
