NATCHEZ — Services for Roosevelt “Roe” Johnson, 82, of Natchez, who died Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital in Natchez, will be at 2 p.m. today at Wilderness Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Wilderness Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.

Mr. Johnson was born July 21, 1927, in Adams County, the son of Albert and Mammie Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; four sisters; and one niece.

Survivors include one son, Tyrone Paxton of Dallas; one daughter, Shunda Wilson of Natchez; one stepson, Barry Wilson of Natchez; one sister, Mammie “Percy” Wilson of Houston, Texas; one devoted niece, Thelma Daniels; five grandchildren, Martinique Wilson, DeBarius Lewis, Tadarius Wilson and Khamora Reason, all of Natchez, and Torre Paxton of Jackson; two sister-in-laws, Dorothy Johnson and Edna Johnson; one special cousin, Katy Dukes and a host of other family and friends.
