A new year, a new Miss-Lou?
With Christmas goodies opened, decorations on their way to the attic and the New Year upon us, it’s time to set a few goals for 2010.
We’re sure many of you already have a few resolutions of your own, so we’ll just make one broad one.
Let’s be positive in 2010.
It’s easy, really, the Miss-Lou is full of wonderful people, wonderful things and great news each day.
In fact, to start you off, we’ll review a few great things about last week.
4Listening Ear Ministry spent New Year’s Day passing out clothes and toys to those in need. Barbara Hoskins directs the ministry of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, and spends her spare time visiting thrift stores and garage sales to collect items to give away. Hoskins work is an inspiration and clearly reminds us that there are great people in our community.
4At least three New Year’s Eve parties filled the week’s events, offering holiday revelers something to enjoy. The Natchez Convention Center, the Vidalia Conference and Convention Center and the Grand Soleil Hotel and Casino all had Thursday night functions.
As we begin a new week, we know our community will give us plenty more about which to be positive.
