NATCHEZ — Services for Clyde “Bo Dean” Bacon, 62, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Greater St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. James Brooks officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Mark Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Bacon was born Feb. 27, 1947, in Natchez, the son of Clyde Grinnell and Ellen Bacon. His employment included Krouse Company, Carpet Sales and Services and Huey Martin Flooring.
Mr. Bacon accepted Christ in July 2009. He was Baptist and attended Bible study. He enjoyed watching football, playing basketball and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Pearly James “Nick” Bacon; uncles, aunts and his grandparents.
Survivors include one son, Cornelius “Scooby” Butler; stepson, Joseph Butler, both of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Ethel Skipper and Donias Flowers and husband, A.J., all of Natchez; one brother, Perry Grinnell and wife, Lillian; five grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Perry R. Ross, Michael Bacon, Charles E. Bruce, Willie Bacon, Travis Barnes and Eric Boxley.
