STAMPLEY — Services for Roger Louis “Hop” Jackson, 53, of Fayette, who died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, at River Region Health Systems in Vicksburg, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Salem Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Jackson was born April 6, 1956, in Natchez, the son of Fred Jackson and Gloria Mae Thompson Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandmother, Rosetta Dorsey; and great-grandmother, Denetter Felton Walker.

Survivors include one sister, Gloria Jean Rankin and husband, Barney, of Fayette; two brothers, Freddie J. Jackson of Indianapolis, Ind., and Carl Wayne Jackson of Fayette; his fiancée, Joyce Smith of Roxie; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
