NATCHEZ — Services for Betty Richards Callon, 82, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Denny Reed and the Rev. Noelle Reed officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the church.

Mrs. Callon was born Jan. 6, 1928, in Montgomery, La., the daughter of Algie L. Richards and Minnie Cook Richards. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John S. Callon; one daughter, Cameron Callon Daniels; two brothers, Willard Richards and Earl Richards; and three sisters, Vivian Trindle, Robin Allen and Mavis Bailey.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol A. Callon and husband, Jim Iannarone, of Katy, Texas, and Anna C. Callon and husband, John Ayers, of Washington, D.C.; two sons, D. Cane Callon and wife, Susan W., and John Chase Callon and wife, Mitzi J., all of Natchez; 10 grandchildren, Shane Cavin McArthur and husband, Joseph, Callon Harrison, Ben Fuqua, Daniel Fuqua, John Callon II, Ben Callon, William Callon, Kristy Callon, Coleman Ayers and David Ayers; and three great-grandchildren, Brennan McArthur, Dalton McArthur and Mary Cameron McArthur.

Pallbearers will be Ben Fuqua, Daniel Fuqua, John Callon II, Ben Callon, William Callon and Brennan McArthur.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Pleasant Acre Day School, 335 Liberty Road, Natchez, MS 39120.
