CENTREVILLE — Services for Carl W. Ross, 68, of Ferriday, who died Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La., will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Newman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Jordan and the Rev. Mike Jordan officiating.
Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Newman Funeral Home in Centreville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday, both at the funeral home.
Mr. Ross was born April 30, 1941, in Camden, Ark., the son of Carl J. Ross and Dovie Jordan Ross. He was retired from the Tembec Corporation. Mr. Ross also served in the U.S. Army. He was a Methodist.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Vivian Ross; and two brothers, Joseph Ross and Herbert Ross.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Floyd Ross; three daughters, Lisa Ross, Crystal Craft and husband, Kevin, all of Ferriday, and Kristy Purvis of Baton Rouge; four sons, Bruce Ross and wife, Tracy, of Natchez, Michael Ross and Jeffrey Ross and wife, Leslie, all of Ferriday, and Carlos Floyd of Baton Rouge; four sisters, Jessie Williams of Springdale, Ark., Pat Jenkins of Johnston, S.C., Betty McCurry of Edgemoor, S.C., and Nancy Crain of Stephens, Ark.; one brother, Ricky Ross of Locust Bayou, Ark.; and 10 grandchildren, Garrett Ross, Carl “Brandon” Ross, Sara Ross, Kelsey Craft, Peyton Craft, Adalyn Boyd, Dawson Parker, Keaton Ross, Makayla Purvis and Carley Floyd.
