FERRIDAY — Services for Emma Lee Lloyd, 87, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at New Morning Star Baptist Church with the Rev. Justin Conner officiating.

Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mrs. Lloyd was born April 16, 1922, in Wildsville, La., the daughter of Cornelius and Harriet Walker Norris. She was a retired nurse’s assistant.

Survivors include four sons, Laroy Hillard of Natchez, Robert Hillard Sr., of Carson, Calif., Judge Hillard Jr., of Ferriday and Saheed Abdul-Azee of Ellenwood, Ga.; two daughters, Melinda Tyler and husband, Harrison, of New Orleans and Pamela Sheppard Carradine of Plano, Texas; one brother, James Norris Sr. of Jonesville; one godchild, Jerome Harris of Ferriday; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
