FERRIDAY — The second of three public forums led by the regionalism steering committee will be Tuesday in Ferriday.

The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Arcade Theater. Breakfast will be served.

Members of the steering committee — elected officials and businessmen — will field questions from the public.

The committee has been meeting for approximately seven months to create a regional economic development effort. Leaders believe marketing Ferriday, Vidalia and Natchez as one region will make the area more attractive to businesses an industry.

The public is invited to attend and share ideas, committee members have said.

The third and final public forum will be in Natchez at 5:30 p.m. March 11 at the Natchez Community Center.

Vidalia hosted a meeting last week at lunchtime. The committee has used a variety of times and towns for the meetings in hopes of making the forums available to everyone.
