Canal Street closed to lower infamous hump

A portion of the Canal Street will be closed today as work begins to lower the hump adjacent The Natchez Democrat.
Work will begin at 7 a.m., and end at 5 p.m. Work will continue Saturday if unforeseen problems arise.
The Natchez Democrat office will be accessible during the road work via Madison Street.
