NATCHEZ — Services for Claudia Rowan Marsaw, 80, of Natchez, who died Sunday, March 21, 2010, at Adams County Nursing Home, will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Prayer Tower Church of God in Christ with the Rev. Johnny Ray Jackson officiating.
Burial will Monday, March 29, 2010, at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Marsaw was born Sept. 11, 1929, in Natchez, the daughter of James and Elnora Stampley Rowan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Gloria Jean Ware; and one brother, Charles Rowan.
Survivors include her husband, Levi Marsaw III; one daughter, Sharon Marsaw Herbert of New Orleans; one son, Gregory Marsaw and wife, Brenda, of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Gladys LaBeaud of New Orleans and Delores Brown of Hartford, Conn.; three brothers, Joseph Rowan and wife, Elaine, Clarence Rowan and wife, Evelyn, of Chicago and James Rowan Jr. of Natchez; four grandchildren, Diallo Herbert of New Orleans, Kimberly Askew of Carrollton, Texas, Chioke Bush of Jacksonville, N.C., and Bridgette Marsaw of Woodbridge, Va.; two aunts, Nancy Lewis and Ethel Rowan; and special niece, Felicia Scott and husband, Johnny, of Magnolia.
Pallbearers will be Diallo Herbert, Chioke Bush, Johnny Scott, Roosevelt Marsaw Jr., Pierre LeBeaud and Roger Griffin.
