Mrs. Yarbrough has played classical violin for almost 40 years and recently won the 2008 Louisiana State Fiddle Championship. She has played for presidents and princes, so the bluegrass style fiddling is rather new to her.

She has played at Carnegie Hall in New York City, at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and with the Fort Worth Symphony, to name a few.

Rod Payne is the most visible musician in North Louisiana. Being able to play piano and keyboard has kept him busy for over 30 years.

Having the ability to write television jingles and theme songs, he is versatile in his ability to play many styles. Rod is everyone’s favorite accompanist on his fancy keyboard.

This concert is made possible by the hard work of the Concordia Parish Library Board, director and staff who put many hours of work into applying for the Louisiana Division of the Arts Grant who make these free concerts available for all residents to enjoy.

It is not often that we get to experience for free the expertise and talent of such noteworthy musicians.

Hope to see you at Concordia Bank in Vidalia at 7 p.m. Thursday.

If you love violin music, you will love this performance.
