FERRIDAY — A Ferriday man has been arrested and charged with accessory after the fact to first-degree murder.

Andreas M. Cauley, 34, 332 Doty Road, was arrested Thursday. Cauley, who is also charged with obstruction of justice, was booked and processed at the Concordia Parish jail, where he is being held without bond.

Ferriday police are currently investigating the April 3 shooting death of Reginald Green, who was found dead in a Chevrolet SUV on Alabama Avenue at 10:23 p.m.

Green was reportedly shot in the torso, head and mouth with a .223-caliber assault rifle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities on Wednesday recovered a .223-caliber assault rifle from Black Bayou.

Ferriday Assistant Police Chief Johnny Evans could not be reached for comment Friday regarding Cauley’s arrest. Ferriday police officials said the murder investigation is ongoing and additional information wouldn’t be released until Monday.

Less than 24 hours following Green’s murder, Ferriday police arrested Bryant LaKeith Bethley, 35, and charged him with first-degree murder, three counts of attempted first-degree murder and parole violation.

Police also arrested Derrick Dewayne Bates, 29, charging him with accessory after the fact to first-degree murder because he was at the Clayton residence where Bethley was arrested.

Bates reportedly hid when police arrived.
