GILBERT, La. — Services for Tommie June Rials Lachney, 78, of Gilbert, La., who died Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, La., will be at 2 p.m. today at Holly Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Mickey Gallup and the Rev. David Clary officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro, La.

Mrs. Lachney was born Sept. 11, 1931, in Brookhaven, the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Rials and Maudie Martin Rials. She was a homemaker and a member of Holly Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, U.P. Lachney; her parents; one sister, Carrie Hawkins; and seven brothers, Carl, Hezzie, J.Q., Ferrell, William “Bee,” Luke and Therman Rials.

Survivors include three daughters, Frances Berry, Sue Freeman and husband, Ronnie, all of Ferriday, and Tammie Hudson and husband, Wayne, of Gilbert; three sons, Johnny Henry and wife, Ana, of Wisner, La., Dave Henry Jr. and wife, Brenda, of Natchez, and Carl Henry and wife, Carol, of Blytheville, Ark.; two sisters, Velma Calhoun of Vidalia and Annie White of Ferriday; two sisters-in-law, Willie K. Rials and Jean Rials Hammonds, both of Wisner; the father of her children, Dave Henry of Gilbert; eight grandchildren, Theresa Berry, Stacey Henry, Lance Henry, Jessica Henry Thompson, Reagin Henry, Matt Henry, Thomas Hudson and Jonathan Hudson; two great-grandchildren, Gavin Henry and Austin Henry; two step-grandchildren, Wendy Chisum and Tammie Plumlee; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Rials, Mike Rials, Rodney Dale Rials, Herman Rials, Jeff Rials, Jay Calhoun, Randy Rials and Elmo Thompson.
