NATCHEZ — Services for Jack D. Foster, 80, of Natchez, who died Sunday, April 25, 2010, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at noon Wednesday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Dan Wynn officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday, both at the funeral home.

Mr. Foster was born May 25, 1929, in Woodville, the son of Wesley Allen and Edna Wilson Foster.

He was a member of First Baptist Church and was also a member of the National Football Foundation.

Mr. Foster was a U.S. Army veteran and an alumnus of William Carey University.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Helen Cameron.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie P. Foster; two sons, Forrest D. Foster and wife, Debra, of Natchez and Lantz P. Foster and wife, Jane, of Canton; six grandchildren, Ashley Elveston, Taylor Foster, Alex Foster, Landon Foster, Jared Foster and Brittany Bennett; one great-granddaughter, Braxtyn Elveston; one brother, Louis Foster and wife, Christine, of Natchez; two special cousins, Charles Foster and wife, Julia, of Mobile, Ala., and Fred Foster of Lake St. John, La.

Pallbearers will be Taylor Foster, Landon Foster, Jared Foster, Wesley Foster, Bruce Foster, West Foster, Paul Powell, Preston Powell, Colby Powell and Billy George Powell.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Natchez National Football Foundation.
