MONTEREY — Services for Claudia Helen Leonard, 72, of Monterey, formerly of Bayou Vista, who died Thursday, April 29, 2010, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Monterey Pentecostal Church with Bro. Ronnie Wesberry and Bro. Cecil Grantham officiating.

Burial will follow at Eva Pentecostal Church Cemetery under the direction of Christensen Funeral Home in Dequincy, La.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Monday at the church.

Mrs. Leonard the daughter of Victor Williams and Eu Banks Williams. She was a member of Monterey Pentecostal Church and will be forever remembered as a loving and kind Christian lady that loved life and her family. While living in Bayou Vista, she was a longtime member of New Life Tabernacle Church where her love, faithfulness and dedication to prayer will never be forgotten. She lived her life by example and was always there for those that needed her.

Claudia was an incredible cook and enjoyed very much cooking for her friends and family. She loved to smile and her upbeat spirit was an inspiration to all she was able to serve.

Claudia was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her and each life that she touched in her own special way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, Adam Leonard; two daughters, Debra Rock of Patterson, La., and Shirley Settoon of Monterey; two sons, William Dennis of Pierre Part, La., and Randy Leonard of Semmes, Ala.; one stepson, Gerald Myers of Morgan City, La.; two sisters, Elizabeth Ellis and Lillian Lawrence, both of Pascagoula; one brother, Henry Williams of Pascagoula; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
