NATCHEZ — Metro Narcotics is looking for the one who got away, and they want your help.

Specifically, they’re looking for Derrick Deshun Mearday, an alleged drug dealer who Metro Narcotics Commander David Lindsey said has been pushing larger amounts of marijuana and cocaine than usually seen in Adams County.

“He has been under investigation for some time,” Lindsey said. “He has been moving a lot of dope through Adams County, and we were able to make some undercover buys from him. We were going to pick him up in the last roundup we had, but he got word we were looking for him, and we haven’t heard from him since.”
