TWENTY YEARS AGO — Christopher Shaw finishes second in the 3000-meters and third in the 1500-meters and 800-meters to finish second at the Shreveport Journal Champ of Champions track and field meet.

TEN YEARS AGO — Gill Morris, whose last head baseball coaching job was at Natchez High from 1992-1995, and is ending his first year as that school’s athletic director, will be ACCS’s new head baseball coach.

FIVE YEARS AGO — ACCS pitcher Timmy Foster, who went 10-2 with a 2.69 ERA to go with a .562 batting average and 12 home runs, is named the MPSA District 3-AA’s Co-Player of the Year.
