Get ready, get ready, the time is fast approaching for the Era Reunion.

The Sadie V. Thompson Era Reunion committee has been working non-stop since the 2008 reunion.

Excitement and anticipation is in the air. We invite you to take a stroll down memory lane with us as we greet old friends and classmates.

Let’s take a stroll once more and reminisce in the hallowed halls of Sadie V. Thompson High School, St. Francis High School and Natchez College.

We went our separate ways after graduation, some to college, the military or directly into the job market. These schools have produced lawyers, doctors, teachers, businessmen, ministers, technicians and other occupations too numerous to mention.

We give our most humble thanks to God, our parents and some of the best teachers in the world for their hard work and commitments to us.

We were able to go into the world of work and compete with students who had far more resources than we did.

And we must never forget loved ones and friends who will not be with us for this reunion. Let us continue in prayer for families from this era who have lost loved ones since the last reunion.

The committee has laid out plans for a reunion that you will never forget.

So get up out of your seats and send your checks or money orders today. The fees are $100 per person.

The dates for the reunion are July 1-4. Events will include a parade, get acquainted night with Mardi Gras theme, a picnic with a western round-up theme and a banquet/ball with a Christmas in July theme. We will also attend church services at 3 p.m. Sunday at Pilgrim Baptist Church. A Hawaiian luau will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday.

All events will take place at the Natchez Convention Center.
