FERRIDAY — Services for Gloria Collier, 80, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at Heritage Manor Health & Rehab Center in Ferriday will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater St. Reed Baptist Church with the Rev. Justin Conner officiating.

Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Collier was born March 12, 1930, in Natchez, the daughter of Sam and Georgia Turner Collier.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Donald R. Collier; one brother, Robert Williams; and three sisters, Clara Taylor Sarah Monroe and Edna White.

Survivors include one brother, the Rev. Edward Mitchell Sr. of Calumet Park, Ill.; one sister, Katie Hunt of Columbus, Ohio; two grandchildren, Bridgette and Kyle Collier of Arizona; a devoted niece, Betty Taylor of Ferriday; and other nieces, nephews and cousins.
