Let us help you get some ‘Inspiration’

Calling all music lovers for a great concert Thursday. Concordia Parish Library and Concordia Bank and Trust proudly present “Pure Imagination…Broadway Favorites” with Adavion Wayne.
Concordia Parish Library has written another art grant from the Louisiana Division of the Arts to provide this performance free and open to the public.
Adavion Wayne was reared in Shreveport, La., and was exposed to an environment where creativity was a necessity. He received his bachelors degree in vocal music education at the University of Louisiana at Monroe and is a triple threat as pianist, tenor and composer.
Adavion studied voice with world-renowned bass, Louis Nabors, for six years and he won the 2005 Christopher Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of Mereb in AIDA. He has composed cabaret/art songs which were premiered in 2007.
Also in 2007 he was honored to have two pieces from his musical premiered during the Inaugural Season of the Louisiana Lyric Opera Company. In 2008, Adavion Wayne debuted and headlined his first solo concert (“Pure Imagination…Broadway and more) at the Emy-Lou Biedenharn Recital Hall in Monroe, La.
He currently resides in Houston, Texas, where he teaches choir in the public school system and is the assistant director of worship and arts at a Houston church. Adavion has been composing gospel/Christian music for many years.
