NATCHEZ — An early morning bar fight this week landed at least four people in the hospital with stab wounds, Adams County Sheriff Chuck Mayfield said.

ACSO has issued warrants for the arrest of two women who were allegedly involved, he said.

Maj. Ricky Stevens said one victim allegedly suffered a punctured lung.

ACSO received a call about the fight at 2:49 a.m. June 13 from the owner of Club Nuvo, where the fight took place, Stevens said.

However, Mayfield said when deputies responded to the call, all they found was blood and hair on the club’s parking lot at 327 Lower Woodville Road.

After calling Natchez Regional Medical Center and Natchez Community Hospital, the sheriff’s office learned that at least four men and women were admitted to both hospitals with wounds they allegedly received from a box cutter.

Stevens said the argument apparently sprouted from a domestic quarrel.

Mayfield said Club Nuvo’s beer license has been temporarily revoked until the investigation is complete.
