FERRIDAY — A Ferriday man was arrested Sunday on charges of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

Jeremy Keys, 17, 707 Delaware Ave., Ferriday, was booked on the charges after Ferriday police received a call from the victim’s mother, Ferriday Assistant Chief Johnny Evans said.

Keys is alleged to be in a romantic relationship with the 14-year-old victim, Evans said.

The victim’s mother reportedly detained Keys at her residence until the police arrived to arrest him after alleging he had inappropriate contact with the victim, Evans said. Keys was detained Monday on a $10,000 bond.
