FERRIDAY — Services for Clyde Leroy Sanford, 76, of Ferriday, who died Friday, June 25, 2010, at Riverland Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Sunday at Westside Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Whittington officiating.

Burial will follow at Carlton Family Cemetery in Jonesville under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today at the church.

Mr. Sanford was born Oct. 26, 1933, in Colfax, La., the son of Ira Morris Sanford and Gertrude Sanford. He was a member of the Ferriday Masonic Lodge No. 390.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Ronnie Dale Sanford and Kenneth “Fuzz” Sanford.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Vera C. Sanford; one son, Delton Sanford and wife, Loretta, of Natchez; one daughter, Cindi Loyed and Brian Schuilli of Ferriday; 10 grandchildren, Tommy Sanford, Timothy Sanford, Alicia Beach, Connie Richardson, Jana Sanford, Gail Loyed, Jacob Loyed, Elizabeth Loyed, Kimberly Scott and Joey Scott; one brother, Ira Wayne Sanford; two sisters, Louise Carlton and Katherine Reeves; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Billy Brixley, Brian Schuilli, Jerry Evans, Randy Nugent, Stewart Evans and Terry Evans.
