VIDALIA — A 16-year-old girl who was reported missing Wednesday night was found safe Thursday.
Vidalia police notified the public of the missing juvenile Thursday morning through an automated telephone message.
The teen reportedly left home Wednesday night with a friend, telling her mother she was going to church but never returning home, Vidalia Police Chief Ronnie G. “Tapper” Hendricks said.
After questioning the teen’s friends and the driver, she was eventually located at the residence of a friend in Ferriday, and her mother picked her up and took her to the Vidalia police station, Hendricks said.
The teen is now at home, Hendricks said.
