VICKSBURG (AP) — A Lorman man has been sentenced to four years and nine months in prison for a hit-and-run in a 2008 accident that left a man dead.

The Vicksburg Post reports Shelby Sanders was sentenced Tuesday in Warren County Circuit Court.

Sanders pleaded guilty in June to leaving the scene of an accident, admitting that he was the driver of the vehicle that hit Christopher Vinson of Port Gibson on Sept. 28, 2009, along a stretch of U.S. 61 South. Vinson was pronounced dead at the scene.
