BUDE — Services for Douglas Shaw Sr., 73, of Bude, who died Saturday, July 31, 2010, at Promise Hospital of Miss-Lou in Vidalia, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Kirby under the direction of Marshall Funeral in Bude.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.

Mr. Shaw was born Nov. 7, 1936, in Bude, the son of Willie Shaw Sr. and Jessie Curtis.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Luther Buie and Roger Fox.

Survivors include five loving children, Valeria O’Quinn, Carolyn Coleman and husband, Leon, Aretha Butler and husband, Walter, Glenda “Gayle” Collins and husband, George, and Douglas “DJ” Shaw Jr.; four brothers, Willie Shaw and wife, Pam, Edward Shaw, Thelma Shaw and wife, Helen, and Ardean Shaw and wife, Lottie; 10 grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
