NATCHEZ — Services for James Howell Seab, 63, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, at his residence, will be at 11:30 a.m. today at Parkview Church of God with Bro. Victor Stewart officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Seab was born Aug. 20, 1946, in Natchez, the son of James C. Seab and Dorothy Marie Buckles Seab.

Mr. Seab was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was also a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and an Eagle Scout. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Mississippi Trapper’s Association.

Mr. Seab enjoyed hunting, trapping and gardening. His hobbies included designing and fabricating ornamental wrought iron metal work and Native American bead-work and deerskin items.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda F. Seab; two daughters, LaWanda Boyer of Elberta, Ala., and Reneé Seab of Boca Raton, Fla.; one son, Joseph Seab of Natchez; one granddaughter, Nicole Boyer; one grandson, Brandon Boyer, both of Elberta, Ala.; his mother of Natchez; and two sisters, Jimmie Coney of Jonesville and Deborah White of Natchez.

Pallbearers will be Bill Brown, Dale Jackson, David Collins, Gene Batieste, Greg Waldrep and Jerry Cain.
