Dr. Emile Salvo

NATCHEZ — Dr. Emile William Salvo, 86, of Natchez, died Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, at Veterans Nursing Home in Jackson.
A private memorial service will be at a later date.
Dr. Salvo was born Sept. 14, 1923, the son of Emile W. Salvo and Georgia Ninette Doughty.
He attended high school in Bay St. Louis at St. Stanislaus College. He completed his dental degree at Loyola Dental School in 1950, and practiced dentistry in Natchez for 53 years.
Dr. Salvo served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Mario Natal Salvo; one brother, Ronald James Salvo; and two sisters, Ninette Salvo Junkin and Rita Mae Salvo.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Janette Lewis; four children, Cynthia Martin, Debra D. Salvo, Gina Maria Flower and Dr. Emile W. Salvo III, all of Milwaukee, Wis.; one sister, Lurie Ramagoes of Natchez; and a special friend, Stratton Bull.
His wishes have been fulfilled by donating his body to science.
