FERRIDAY — Services for Delores Piercefield, 48, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at Heritage Manor Health and Rehab Center in Ferriday, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at New Morning Star Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Lewis officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Piercefield was born July 27, 1962, in Ferriday, the daughter of William and Annie Townsend Piercefield.

She was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include one son, Tommie Piercefield of Ferriday; three daughters, Katina Piercefield of Ferriday, Pamela Piercefield Carter of Sicily Island and Elisha Piercefield of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Jimmie Piercefield of New Orleans and David Piercefield of Ferriday; seven sisters, Loraine Jefferson and Lucille Jefferson, both of New Orleans, Daisy Jefferson and Diane Jefferson, both of Ferriday, Ann Hawkins of West Memphis, Ark., Betty Brown of Baton Rouge and Barbara Piercefield of Houston, Texas; three aunts; 12 grandchildren; and her companion, Thomas Swanson of Ferriday.
