NATCHEZ — Services for Queen Ella Parker Screws, 64, of Birmingham, Ala., formerly of Natchez, who died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at her residence, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church with the Rev. James Beverly officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Wren’s Funeral Home in Birmingham, Ala.

Mrs. Screws was born April 4, 1946, in Natchez, the daughter of the Rev. James Parker and Mrs. Mamie Mosby Parker. She was employed by Diamond National Corp. for a number of years. Her last employer was Glenburney Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include two sons, Calvin Parker and wife, Vanessa, and Quinn Parker and wife, LaToya, , all of Alabama; six sisters, Ethel Grissom and Georgia Demby, both of Natchez, Diane Simington and husband, Euley, of Cape Girrada, Mo., Patricia Brooks and Jerri Delena Parker of Indianapolis, Ind., and Ruth Steele of Jackson; four brothers, James Parker Jr., Charles Parker and wife, Brenda, and Robert Parker, all of Natchez, and Clarence Parker and wife, Diane, of Atlanta; five grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
