FERRIDAY — Services for Elijah S. Tolliver, 68, of Ferriday, who died Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, at his residence following a long illness, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat Baptist Church with the Rev. Phaison Thomas officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Tolliver was born Dec. 2, 1941, in Ferriday, the son of Cora Harris Edwards.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Brown Tolliver; one son, Angelo Milton; four daughters, Barbara Washington, Jacqueline Brown, Gwendolyn Ray and Sharon Yearby and husband, Charles, all of Ferriday; one brother, Jim Edwards and wife, Olivia; two sisters, Emma Brown and husband, Roosevelt and Laura Edwards, all of Las Vegas; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
