FERRIDAY — Services for Adell Johnese Tucker, 67, who died Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, at her residence in Ferriday, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Pentecostals of the Miss-Lou with Bro. Todd Tucker, Bro. Gary Howington and Bro. Thomas Smith officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Tucker was born on Aug. 31, 1943 at Gilbert, La., the daughter of Robert L. Butcher and Gladys Matthews Butcher.
She worked at Unifed Mortgage Company and Concordia Bank and Trust as a loan processor. She was a member of Pentecostal of the Miss-Lou, and also Wallace Ridge Pentecostal Church. Her joys in life were her family, friends and her ministry. She enjoyed traveling and preaching with her husband, and spreading God’s word through preaching and singing. Adell was a very warm, kindhearted and loving lady. She will be greatly missed by her family and everyone who knew her.
Tucker was preceded in death by her father and mother, her husbands David C. Johnese Sr., and Rev. Connie Tucker, her sisters Sadie Goodger, Edith Edwards and Lena Black.
Survivors include her son David C. Johnese Jr., and wife Kaye of Jonesville, La.; daughter Betty Short and husband Bobby of Ferriday, daughter Karen Molnar of Haughton, La., step-son Todd Tucker and his wife Angie of Harrisonburg, La., step-daughter Toya Armstrong and husband Jarrod of Baskin, La.; grandchildren Kaitlin and Bethany Johnese, Grant Molnar, Black Short and Casey Molnar; step-grandchildren Dakota Tucker and Holden and Tucker Armstrong; her brothers Clyde Butcher of Mobile, Ala., and Robert Luther Butcher of East Alton, Ill.; and her sisters Lillian Lewis, Jean Salter and Ophelia Sellers of West Monroe, La., Betty Alexander of Baton Rouge, La., and Olivia Redding of Madison, Miss.
Pallbearers will be Blake Short, Grant Molnar, Dakota Tucker, Holden Armstrong, Tucker Armstrong and Bruce Robinson.
