WOODVILLE — Services for Lula Mae Bland Parker, 74, of Woodville, who died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Luke No. 1 Baptist Church with Pastor Emanuel Foxworth officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home in Woodville.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Parker was born March 4, 1936, in Woodville, the daughter of Elijah Bland and Bernice Allen. She was formerly employed by William Carter Company as a seamstress.

Mrs. Parker was a member of Zion Temple Seven Day Adventist. She also served as a civil rights activist, a member of the NAACP, a member of the Secret 12 Club and a member of the Benevolent Lodge Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters; and two brothers.

Survivors include two sons, Clarence Parker Jr. and wife, Martha, and Glenn Parker, all of Woodville; three daughters, Willie Earl and husband, Milton, and Florasteen Smith and husband, Kenneth, all of Woodville, and Patricia Parker of Baker, La.; two brothers, Elijah Bland Jr. of Woodville and Larry Bland and wife, Sue, of Gonzales, La.; one sister, Juanita Jackson of Lamar, Texas; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives and friends.
