WOODVILLE — Services for Dorothy Reed Dunbar, 85, of Vidalia, who died Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, at Lane Memorial Hospital in Zachary, La., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Raymond T. Riley Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at the Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home in Woodville.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Dunbar was born March 30, 1925, in Woodville, the daughter of George Reed Sr. and Annie Riley. She was a member of Greater Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church and served as on the Mothers Board.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Dunbar Sr.; two daughters, Annie McCoy and Ellen Hubbard; her parents; two grandsons, one great-granddaughter; and one sister-in-law, Ruth Reed.

Survivors include two daughters, Katherine Cook and husband, Felix, and Ima Thomas and husband, Addison; two sons, Louis Dunbar Jr. and wife, Melissa, and Ray Dunbar Sr. and wife, Carolyn; one brother, George Reed Jr.; 33 grandchildren; more than 70 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Roderick Dunbar, Roland Dunbar, Ray Dunbar Jr., Bobby Dunbar, Keith Dunbar and Louis Dunbar III.

Honorary pallbearers will be Louis Dunbar Jr., Ray Dunbar Sr., Felix Cook and Addison Thomas Jr.
