FERRIDAY — Services for Monroe Johnson Jr., 71, of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La., will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. Justin Conner officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnson was born March 29, 1939, in Ferriday, the son of Monroe and Elise Johnson. He was employed as an auto mechanic.

Survivors include four sons, Anthony Cauley and Michael Cauley, both of New Orleans, Charles Cauley of Houston, Texas and Andre Hall of Ferriday; two daughters, Vanessa Williams of Ferriday and Schrell Cauley of New Orleans; two sisters, Ruby Johnson of Ferriday and Ella Mae Green of Pontiac, Mich.; 21 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
