DOLOROSO – Services for David Granvel Spencer, 58, of Woodville, who died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Free Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. George Norflin officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home of Woodville.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Spencer was born Dec. 1, 1951, in Adams County, the son of Edward Pool and Josephine Spencer.

He was a farmer.

Mr. Spencer was preceded in death by his parents; three children, Eric Jackson, Perez Jackson and Barney Williams; his grandparents, two sons-in-law and two brothers-in-law.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Spencer of Woodville; six stepsons, Maurice Williams, Irvin Williams, Fredrick Williams and wife, Yvette, Calvin Smith, and Alvin Smith, and wife, Keisha, all of Woodville, and Patrick Williams and wife, Nicole, of Natchez; three stepdaughters, Irma Williams, Latonia Neal, and Erica Jackson, all of Woodville; two brothers, Raymond Pool, and wife, Mary, and Elvis Pool, all of Woodville; seven sisters, Willie M. Jackson, Myrtel Gibbs, Patsy Smith, and husband, Tommie, Martha Fountain, and huband, Willie, Rose Pool, Viola McDonald, and husband, David, and Wanda Ross, and husband, Elmo; one daughter-in-law, Ruth Williams; one god sister, Johnnie Woodfork; one aunt, Betty Spencer; 14 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Kelvin Smith, Johnny Lee Miles, Forrest Williams, Kenny Barry Broadway, Joe Perry and Calvin Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Irvin Williams, Fredrick Williams, Raymond Pool, Elron Pool, Patrick Williams, Alvin Smith, Timothy Williams and Tavian Williams.
