MANDEVILLE, La. — Funeral mass for Lorene Sanders Tyrone, 74, of Mandeville, who died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010, will be at 11 a.m. today at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

A private burial will follow at Prentiss City Cemetery in Prentiss under the direction of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home in Covington, La.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Tyrone was born Aug. 10, 1936, in Maben, the daughter of Thomas James and Emma Mae Reed Sanders. She was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish before moving to Mandeville after hurricane Katrina.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Clement Tyrone.

Survivors include two daughters, Angela R. Tyrone and Laura Freeze and Carolyn T. Scafidel and husband, Robert; one son, M. Alan Tyrone; one stepson, Richard E. Tyrone and wife, Carolyn; one sister, Patricia S. Steele; one brother, J. Harold Sanders ; and two grandchildren, Ross and Rebecca Scafidel.
