INDIANOLA — Services for Bernice Lomax Davis, 85, a retired social worker from Shaw, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Arria Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Leroy Woods officiating.

Burial will follow at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Shaw under the direction of Westhaven Funeral Home.

Survivors include seven children, Vera Davis Ballard of Fayette, Pauline Davis Harris of Tuskegee, Ala., Loistene Davis of Shaw, McKinley Davis Sr. and wife, Verlina, of Chicago, Donald Davis Sr. and wife, Marilyn, of Greenville, Ronald Davis and wife, Althea, of Madison and Kelvin Davis and wife, Georgia, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, McKinley Lomax and wife, Ida, of Shaw; one sister, Bertha Lomax Myrick of Chicago; paternal and maternal relatives; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
