Sicily Island — Funeral services for J.E. Juneau Jr., 83, of Sicily Island, La., who died Oct. 8, 2010, will be at 10 a.m., Monday at First Baptist Church of Sicily Island with the Rev. James Gass officiating.

Burial will follow at New Pine Hill Cemetery in Sicily Island under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Juneau was born Nov. 29, 1926, in Sicily Island, the son of John Edward Juneau Sr. and Mary Passman Juneau. He was a boiler maker and a member of First Baptist Church of Sicily Island.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Earline King Juneau; one daughter, Betty Sue Smith Gremillion; one brother, Walter Juneau; two sisters, Lilly and Letha Mason; one half-brother, Billy Ray Juneau and one grandson, George David “Da Da” Scott Jr.

Survivors include two sons, Johnny Juneau and wife Peggy of Winnsboro, La., and Charles Juneau and wife Ginger of Livingston, La.; on daughter, Candy White and husband Donald of Ridgecrest; one half-brother, James Juneau of Angeles, one sister, Annie Laura King of Natchez; one half-sister of Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family members.

Pallbearers will be Michael Stephens, John Juneau, Mark Juneau, Brandon Juneau, Danny Alexander and Gary Juneau.

Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Gremillion, R.G. Price, Jeff Walker, Sonny Boutwell, Clyde Polk and Bubba Ellerby.
