Man wanted for attempted murder

VIDALIA — A warrant has been issued for the arrest of the man allegedly responsible for a shooting that occurred near the roadside of Concordia Park subdivision Friday night that left one man in the hospital.

The Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office has issued a warrant for Gary S. Green, 29, of 337 Concordia Park Drive on the charge of attempted second-degree murder.

Green is wanted in connection with the shooting of James Martin.

Martin, 23, of Natchez was reportedly shot twice in the head and was transported to a Jackson hospital where he was said to be in critical but stable condition as of Monday.

According to CPSO investigations, the shooting reportedly stemmed from an alleged altercation between Martin and a female juvenile.

According to witnesses, Green is the brother of the female juvenile.

Investigators with the CPSO and the Vidalia Police Department are currently working on the case. Green is a black male, 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing approximately 125 pounds. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Gary S. Green is asked to contact the CPSO at 318-336-5231.
